Day 6 - Even the Poor are to Give to God From What They Have
"In the midst of a very severe trial, their overflowing joy and their extreme poverty welled up in rich generosity...Entirely on their own, they urgently pleaded with us for the privilege of sharing in this service to the Lord’s people." (2 Corinthians 8:2-4)
The extraordinary example of the Macedonian churches illustrates that our ability to give is not dependent upon how much we have, but upon a heart and willingness to share from what we have. When we are passionately in love with Jesus and His Church, nothing, not even poverty, will stop us from wanting to give to God's work!
